Virgin Army Truck Ride
Pat Burns, a member of our post donated an Army Truck that Commander Russ Marsden and his son Ron restored. On Veterans Day, after the services and open house festivities died down members from the post took a virgin ride in it. Driven by Commander Russ, and front seat co-pilots Paul Gorman and Lary Steele broke trail to first stop the Hastings VFW. Sisters, Mary Reeser, Lonnie Diimon, Lori Gorman, Kim Rasbeck, Dawn Dimon, Jessica Ortiz, Ashley Henderson, Donna Jerrett and Veteran Lynn Rasbeck all piled in the rear end. Sister Connie Gonseth and Veteran Jim Forkhamer and wife Harriette followed us.
We had a couple toddys at Hastings and then stopped off the the American Legion in Parish on the return trip home. The Army Truck rode, well like a truck, especially when Commander picked the bumpiest roads to come home on!!!!!!!!
A great time was had by all and what can I say except, WE LOVE THIS TRUCK !!!! IT'S OUR KIND OF TRUCK has become our theme song!!!!!!
